Education Expands. So why does schooling limit? Almost everyone agrees
that quality education is about possibilities. About success in real life,
unleashing the child’s own talents, about excitement in learning new things,
about being a good human being and a contributing citizen. And almost everyone
talks about it. However, not enough is being done about it. For most children
schooling is about being leashed, not unleashed.

At JPS, Gurgoan our aim is to create an ethos that will encourage children to grow in all these mental spaces. An ethos of harmony and interdependence with the environment around them that fosters tolerance, discussions, flexibility and understanding different points of view. Where hard work is recognized and rewarded.
The school may not have much of history - but has the proficiency and the vision for a wonderful future. The motto "Service before self" is a true reflection of the society and the spirit they instil in children. At JPS hard work is a part of the natural course of things.
THE HOUSE SYSTEM:- The school is divided into four houses:-
1. Aravali House
2. Kumaon House
3. Nilgiri House
4. Shivalik House
The school also has a Students Council with office bearers from Class 9 managing different portfolios of school life. They are selected on the basis of the overall performance in the past years. To be a member of the Student Council, a child should be disciplined, innovative and an all rounder.
